Goal and scope of the summary:
Understand impact of best seller jeans. 1) Company can better understand the environmental impact caused by their product outside hte bounds of its direct sphere of influence. 2) Key stakeholders can be informed about how their business decisions impact the enviromental attributes of the product they design, merchandise and sell.

The main strength of this LCA is the comparison of different jeans with regards to the impact they have. However, only raw material and manufactoring are included. Distribution, use and final disposition (especial attention to the last one) are kept out of the analysis, restricting the understanding of the full impact of the purchase and use of the product. In addition, some terms are still quite vague with regards to the result itself. For example, "primary waste" does not detail the type of waste created, its form and level of toxicity. However, the first LCA was drafted in 2009 with 2010 being the first revision. Perhaps further revisions will include steps now out of scope and further detail and qualify the environmental impacts.
